About artist Ingrid Bolton
Ingrid’s paintings represent her visual and emotional memories that are interpretive of the very moment of inspiration in her unique artistic ways. Her works encompass subject matters such as landscapes, flowers, animals or architecture. She expresses her recollections with bold and rich colors that convey vitality, vibrancy and life.
With the approach of her “Golden Years”, Ingrid seized this perfect opportunity to finally fully concentrate and nurture her life-long longings for art and being creative. She returned to school and in 2002 earning a Bachelor's Degree, Fine Arts Major, from North Georgia College and State University. She continuously furthers her knowledge and skills and has taken many workshops with nationally known top master painters here in the US, as well as abroad.
Born and reared in Germany, she came to the US in 1966. After moving many times, within US states as well as living overseas, she now feels well-rooted in the State of Georgia where she has lived since 1989.
Her paintings have been accepted in various juried Atlanta area exhibits and have won awards. They are part of private collections in many US States, Canada, England, Italy and Germany as well as in local public venues.
She is a member of the Quinlan Art Center, Gainesville, GA, The Georgia Art League, the North Gwinnett Arts Association, Suwanee, GA, as well as of the Oil Painters of America, (O.P.A.) and the American Impressionist Society (AIS).

Ingrid Bolton’s painting "Okefenokee Sea Rose Heaven” was accepted to be part of the next “Art of Georgia” exhibit. The exhibit will be in the Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp at the Georgia State Capitol building and will also be hung the Governor's Mansion from August 7, 2023 until July 30, 2024.
In 2025, another of Ingrid Bolton’s paintings, Okefenokee Sunset, was selected through the “Georgia for the Arts” organization for display at the Georgia State Capitol.
Ingrid Bolton was commissioned to create these two triptychs for the new Green Tower at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Created specifically for the healthcare environment, the paintings bring color, beauty, and a sense of serenity to the space.
