My works are my artistic interpretation of a visual and emotional memory. They are representative of the very moment of inspiration and encompass many subject matters may these be landscapes, flowers, animals or architecture as they resonate in me. I strive to convey my memories with bold and rich colors. To me, colors express vitality, vibrancy and life.
Primarily, I paint with oil paints because they allow me to express harmony through their rich and deep satin-like properties. Although, occasionally, I chose acrylics, as they provide spontaneity, hence, infusing greater energy to my work.
In 2002 I earned a Bachelor's Degree, Fine Arts Major, from North Georgia College and State University. Ceaselessly, I further my knowledge and skills and so far have studied with many nationally known top master painters here in the US, as well as abroad. I am a member of the North Gwinnett Arts Assoc., (Suwanee, GA), Dunwoody Fine Art Association (Dunwoody, GA), Kudzu Art Zone (Norcross, GA) and the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts.
Born and reared in Germany, I came to the US in 1966. After moving many times within US states as well as overseas, 25 years ago my family and I settled in the Atlanta area and became well rooted.
My paintings have been accepted in various juried Atlanta area exhibits and have won awards. They are part of private collections in many US States, Canada, England, Italy and Germany as well as in local public venues.
